Pity I can't say the same for the very top of the chart which leads to the current top ten where "Youngblood" by 5 Seconds of Summer is spending an eighth week at number one however I can see this song having stave off a challenger that I'll get to because this song showed signs of weakness on both streaming and sales.
That challenge isn't going to come from our current number 2 that being "Girls Like You" by Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B. Look, this song is getting pushed back everywhere, only remained at number 2.
One of the biggest movers (there are three big movers into the top ten this week) and I predict could well be the new number one or if not Youngblood's closest challenger next week is Drake's "In My Feelings" which climbed from 15 to number 3. this song is currently doing good numbers on sales and streams.
"In My Feelings" leap into the top 10 mercifully pushed "Don't Matter to Me" by Drake feat. Michael Jackson down to number 4, this song should fall away quickly as the album recedes.
The second new arrival to our top five and indeed the top ten and one I am rather delighted about is "Be Alright" by Dean Lewis which jumped from 19 to 5 this week and I like it's chances of sticking around.
Hell, it helped push "Better Now" by Post Malone down two to number 6 (thank goodness).
The receding of Drake's album helped "Solo" by Clean Bandit up 3 places to 7 and "Lucid Dreams" by Juice WRLD also up 3 places to number 8.
One of only three songs within the top ten to remain where it is is "2002" by Anne-Marie which remained at number 9.
The third and final leaper into the top is sleeper hit "Nevermind" by Dennis Lloyd up 10 places to round out the top 10 at number 10.
Gains
In a week where a LOT gained due to the receding of the Drake album bomb I am only going to mention the really big movers with the biggest being "Rise" by Jonas Blue feat. Jack and Jack which climbed from 43 to 27.
There's more good news on the Australian front with "Reprisal" by Peking Duk going to 12 from 24 last week.
"Ocean" by Martin Garrix featuring Khalid up to 18 from 26, expecting that song to at some stage hit the top ten to be honest.
"I Wanna Know" by NOTD and Bea Miller breaks into the top twenty at 19 up from 25.
"Jackie Chan" by Tiesto featuring Dzeko, Preme and Post Malone up to 24 from 32.
"I'll Be There" by Jess Glynne jumped 9 places to 26, same for "Bed" by Nicki Minaj featuring Ariana Grande which climbed nine to 29.
"Just Friends" by Hayden James feat. Boy Matthews also jumped from 41 to 30.
"Born to Be Yours" by Kygo feat. Imagine Dragons jumped from 49 to 37.
"High Hopes" by Panic! At the Disco jumped 10 places to 38 which is a bit of a surprise.
Re-Entries
The new entries are pretty much mostly 2017 songs that haven't gone away apart from the highest return which was "Meant to Be" by Bebe Rexha feat. Florida Georgia Line at 43.
There was also room for two 2017 number ones in "Rockstar" by Post Malone and 21 Savageback at 45 and because it seems there are still people who haven't brought it, "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran at 47, Sheeran also had "Happier" return at 50.
Losers
So lets blow through the Drake losers here: "Nice for What" to 13, "Nonstop" fell to 17, "God's Plan" slipped to 23, "Emotionless" was the biggest loser down from 12 to 33, "I'm Upset" to 35.
The other big loser this week was XXXtentacion with "Sad!" down to 11, "Jocelyn Flores" down to 39 and "Changes" down to 40.
New Entries
One new entry this week and it comes from a British singer songwriter Ella Mai who is signed to DJ Mustard's 10 Summers Records label, her song "Boo'd Up" has debuted at 46. Quite frankly I am surprised it's taken this long for "Boo'd Up" to arrive in the top 50. It's already in the Hot 100 top 5 right now. that said it could well be off the remix with Nicki Minaj and Quavo.
