ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart. 21st September. The One With references to Nicole Kidman

Nopreamble this week because there's ust not much to say, as per usual, it's "Choosin' Texas" by Ella Langley ruling the roost at number one, it's pretty much had sales and streaming on lock every week and that may not change until Taylor Swift's new single that's being released on Friday.

The top six held position with "Rein Me In" by Sam Fender and Olivia Dean at number two, "Man I Need" by Olivia Dean at number three, "Ordinary" by Alex Warren at number four, "Boston" by Stella Lefty at number five and "Stupid Song" by Olivia Rodrigo at number six.

Unfortunately "Earrings" by Malcolm Todd rebounded two spots to number seven while "Love Me Not" by Ravyn Lenae returns to the top ten up three to number eight (seems faitly endemic of what is wrong with the charts), it did force "Loser" by Tame Impala back two slots to number ten and "The Cure" by Olivia Rodrigo down two to number ten.

Losers

So the biggest loser this week was Bruno Mars wth "Risk It All" down twenty four to forty three and "I Just Might" down fourteen to forty one.

Meanwhile "Fever Dream" by Alex Warren down ten to forty nine.

Drop Outs

So we do have two drop outs this week with the biggest being "Dai Dai" by Shakira and Burna Boy (miracle it lasted this long on the top 50, the other being "My Body Isn't Ready" by Sombr.

Gains

There isn't much in the way of gains this week with the biggest being the eleven place gain for "Stop the Wedding" by Ashe to thirty six.

Re-Entries

Just the one return this week with "Undressed" by Sombr back at number forty eight.

New Entries

14. "Nicole Kidman" by ADELA

So I still don't like "Ain't in LA" all that much, it's still this wispy insubstantial song that is below the grade of song that Adela is capable of as proven by her EP last year "Mr Provocateur" and look this is only slightly better than "Ain't In La" because it yet again feels like she's playing down to what her label thinks are acceptable non challenging standards for the mainstream with that sample amd that cooing vocal delivery that plays more for Ariana Grande. Ugh. I think I am going to skip this one too.

That wraps our week. Next week...well I would have said something from Miley Cyrus but that doesn't seem likely so we'll have to see.
