ARIA Chart top ten/chart review; 25th September. Post Malone gets his biggest hit in Australia

All I can say about this week is...wow, not only did we get a new debut in the top 10 but plenty of changes up and down the chart, we did lose the inert "Friends" by Justin Bieber and Bloodpop from the top 10 with it dropping to 11 and "...Ready For it" by Taylor Swift made a swift exit from the top from 3 to 17 which made that song the biggest faller of the week. (It actually wasn't a good week for Ms Swift if I am to be honest)

But let's get to our top 10 where the number one for a second week is "Too Good at Goodbyes" by Sam Smith, now I actually think there's a probablility that this song will fall from the number one slot when you see what is lurking below it.

It's closest danger is "New Rules" by Dua Lipa which climbed two places to number 2 this week and still seems to have plenty of traction particularly on radio which is a good sign.

Taylor Swift's former chart topper "Look What You Made Me Do" dropped to number three and somehow I can see this just going into a tailspin down.

Pink regained some of her losses with "What About Us?" rebounding to number 4 after drop to number 5 last week.

The most surprising was the two place climb to number 5 for "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons but I'd suspect that rise is on the back of weaker songs.

At number 6 is "Glorious" by Macklemore and Skylar Grey, it remains at number 6 but it will get a boost off the drop of the album and the fact that Macklemore is performing at this weekend's National Rugby League Grand Final.

"1-800-273-8255" by Logic featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid climbed 3 places to number 7. This could well go top 5 actually.

Then we have a new entry to the chart inside the top 10 and is both these artists biggest hit in Australia, at number 8 it's Post Malone and 21 Savage with "Rockstar". It's the highest debut of the week as well, this song just debuted on the Billboard hot 100 at number 2.

"Dusk til Dawn" by Zayn and Sia fell one place to number nine.

Rounding out the top 10 is Lauv who climbed 3 places to number 10 this week with "I Like Me Better".

The biggest gainer this week was "Feel It Still" by Portugal, The Man which climbed 15 places to number 20. Also a good gain for "Young, Dumb and Broke" by Khalid which climbed 6 places to 14

As for the losses, already mentioned "...Ready for it" by Taylor Swift as being the biggest loser of the week but Vance Joy's "Lay it on Me" lost its momentum completely to drop from 26 to 18.

As for the new entries apart from "Rockstar". we begin at 23 with Niall Horan's ballad "Too Much to Ask", the overstuffed "Homemade Dynamite (remix) by Lorde featuring Khalid, Post Malone and SZA enters at number 40 and "Would You Ever" by Skrillex and Poo Bear at number 42. Outside of the top 100: Fall Out Boy at number 83 with "The Last of the Real Ones", "Heaven" by Ziggy Alberts at 85, Nick Jonas at 88 with "Find You" (Still disappointed with that song if I am to honest) and "Curve" by Gucci Mane feat. The Weekend at number 93.

Dean Lewis re-entered the ARIA top 50 with the excellent "Waves" at number 46.

So given the new entries and the one return what also dropped out. No real surprises there this week with "Fake Magic" by Peking Duk and AlunaGeorge (that song really never gained any traction), "No Promises" by Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato, "Location" by Khalid, former number 4 hit "Symphony" by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson and "Let Me Go" by Hailee Steinfeld feat. Alesso and Watt.

Alright, New Music Friday Review likely to feature Nic Cester (yes that Nic Cester from Jet), Anne-Marie and...Miley Cyrus (she's dropping that album on Friday) so see you for that.

New Music Friday review: Niall Horan, Nick Jonas, Post Malone/21 Savage

So this week delivered in some ways...I guess (?), We got new music from Niall Horan and Nick Jonas plus we get double the Post Malone than what is necessary (You'll see what I mean). Keeping the reviews short due to not being well.

Song: Too Much to Ask
Artist: Niall Horan

So the third single from Niall Horan's album "Flicker" due out next month is a heartfelt ballad and its actually what I expected Niall to come out with following the success of "Slow Hands" and plays in the Ed Sheeran playground a bit, you can literally hear the Ed Sheeran in this song.
Yeah, I do like it but I think that he has done much better in terms of this kind of music with "This Town".

Rating: 7/10

Song: Find You
Artist: Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas is back with a new single and quite honestly I like the fragments of acoustic guitar through this song that gets lost in amongst a beat not far removed from EDM or The Chainsmokers at their best. Ugh. Skip it.

Rating: 5/10 but that's more due to the acoustic guitar.

Song: rockstar
Artist(s): Post Malone, 21 Savage

So when I hear people suggest a rap song is pretty good, I get a little wary, largely because it's always a big let down but you know what? I'll give Post Malone and 21 Savage this, for as much as this song doesn't go much past bragging about their sexual prowess and living like Bon Scott and Jim Morrison, it actually kind of fits with the whole premise of living like 'rockstars' so yeah while it's not my thing, I quite honestly wouldn't be bothered if it became a hit.

Rating: 6/10

Best of the week: Check out Craig David's "Heartline". It's a damn good tune and should be a hit.

Worst: "Homemade Dynamite (Remix)" by Lorde, Khalid, SZA and Post Malone. No Lorde, You didn't need to recreate a 2017 version of Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" when she managed to get Kendrick Lamar on board to overcompensate for it being a late album track back in 2015 This feels clunky at best and overstuffed at worst. This really does feel like a misstep here, you'll find me listening to the original.

New Music Friday 22nd September.
Macklemore feat. Kesha with 'Good ol' Days"
Anne Marie "Heavy" (Yes I got the date wrong on that one last week)

The Tuesday Ten: Top 10 hit songs I cannot stand

So The Tuesday Ten is something I am going to do on occasions where I countdown the 10 of something and today we're beginning with the top ten songs that I have to change the radio station when they come on because to me they are skin crawling nauseating songs or I just have an irrational dislike of the song.

10. "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons (2017)

This song just really really gets on my nerves right from the get go with that autotuned voice saying "Thunder" over and over again and the incredibly basic lyrics. Ugh. It missed my mid year top 10 worst songs of the year so far list but geez, it's definitely that annoying it may well end up the end of year worst list!.

9. "Hey Jude"  by The Beatles.

Okay, this is actually a bit harsh because the ballad part is absolutely beautiful but the song then goes into this "Na na na" bit that drags on and on to the point where it gets painful to listen to. Maybe I just don't get the artistry of it but for me that "na na na na" bit ruins what is an absolutely gorgeous song for John Lennon's son Julian.

8. "Long Way to the Top" by AC/DC

Some people will see this as blasphemy, how dare I include an AC/DC song on this list. Just because it's Acca Dacca, it doesn't make this song any better in my eyes. What with the unnecessary bagpipes and shouting, it all adds up to one gigantic headache. It's a total station changer for me.

7. "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion

A sappy, awful ballad that if it wasn't for the movie "Titanic" wouldn't have even charted the way it did. I can't even forget that this song existed. Ugh.

6. "Babooshka" by Kate Bush

Shrieking at the top of your lungs does not make a good song and that shrieking "Eiii yiiii!" is enough to put me off the song. It's just so unnecessary!

5. Upside Down" by Diana Ross

I cannot explain how and why this song really does drive me to changing the station. It just does. Maybe it's in Diana's vocal delivery, I don't know but yeah this song just does plenty to make me change the radio station. The lyrics also imply that she knows her man is cheating but yet because this arsehole is such a  lovegod, she's staying with him, I know it was recorded in the late 70s/ early 80s but come on!.

4. Abracadabra by Steve Miller Band

Oh god, if there's one song I had forgotten pissed me off, it's this one. I'd forgotten how sleazy and skin crawling repulsive the chorus is. Ugh. I wouldn't mind it so much if radio stations put a ban on playing this song

3. "Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift

This song happens when the singer is overloaded on bitterness and victim mentality, it's childish and stupid and casts Taylor Swift in the worst possible light. I am hoping and praying that the forthcoming album isn't as bad as I think it is going to be.

2. "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John

Oh I am going to cop it for putting Olivia on this list but "Physical" is not one of her best songs. From a chorus that makes my stomach churn to the music behind it. "Physical" really is just one of those god awful songs that I am convinced people say it's good because it's Olivia. It's not!

1. "Born To be Alive" by Patrick Hernandez

I know I shouldn't be pissed at what effectively was a one hit wonder but this song does my head in every single time it is played. People complain about repetitive choruses in modern pop music today but seriously I'd almost take "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons over this god awful mess of a song. Also, what else are we meant to be when we're born? We're certainly not born to be dead!

ARIA Top Ten/ Chart Review: 18th September. Debuts cause chart chaos

There are some weeks that are quiet where there's barely any movement and no new entries to really speak of breaking into the top 10 and then you get weeks like this one where the chart turns into pure unadulterated chaos when a number of huge names drop new singles in the previous week and gain traction enough to break into the top ten.

That's what happened this week as two new entries debuted in the top ten including one song going straight in at number one and one other song making a somewhat surprising leap into the top 10 and it triggered the exits of "Sorry Not Sorry" by Demi Lovato to number 11 from 8 last week, "Feels" by Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean to 15 from 9 last week and "Unforgettable" by French Montana feat. Swae-Lee to number 12 from the top 10.

So let's let down to this top 10 and as I mentioned we do have a new number one, it's "Too Good at Goodbyes" by Sam Smith, it's his first number one in Australia. Just how much longevity it has at number one is going to be sorely tested.

At number two is "Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift, this song is still a major player for the top spot as it is doing well on sales but I just wonder if releasing "...You Ready for It" has split streams and sales for Taylor therefore making it tougher for her to have a longer run at the top with "Look What You Made Me Do" but hey I ain't complaining.

Speaking of "...You Ready For It" by Taylor Swift, it gained a spot to number 3. Yet again how much steam this song has even though its not the official single but rather a promotional single remains in question could disappear quite quickly when stronger songs arrive in top ten (eg: Niall Horan's new single).

Dua Lipa restarted the "New Rules" rise toward the top, climbing two places to number 4. It may well be the best song in the top 5 this week if I am honest!

Pink has been doing plenty of promotional work for her album "Beautiful Trauma" but it didn't stop her number one hit "What About Us?" dropping 3 places to number 5

"Glorious" by Macklemore feat. Skylar Gray dropped out of the top 5 this week, it fell two places to number 6.

"Thunder" by Imagine Dragons continues to hang around like the proverbial unwanted bad smell at number 7 for another week.

At number 8 is the second of the new entries to debut inside the top 10, "Dusk Til Dawn" by Zayn feat. Sia. I am quite happy its here to be honest in spite of some notable flaws, it's a decent enough song and could very well get a move going up the chart if all things go well.

"Friends" by Justin Bieber and Bloodpop dropped 4 places back to number 9 because it's really quite the average track that's got a good beat but not much else going for it.

Then to round of the top 10 is the new arrival of "1-800-273-8255" by Logic feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid which climbed 7 places to reach number 10 which made it the biggest mover on the ARIA chart this week, this song seems to have struck a chord somewhere!

Other big moves up outside the top 10 came for "Lay It On Me" by Vance Joy which climbed from 25 to 18 and "What Lovers Do" by Maroon 5 and SZA" climbed from 33 to 28.

A lot of songs experienced falls this week but biggest fall was by "Fallin'" by Jessica Mauboy which dropped from 28 to 39 this week but as I say there are plenty of songs across the board which have peaked and looked to be on their way out anyway.

The only other new entry is this weird collaboration between Hailee Steinfeld, country act Florida Georgia Line, Alesso and Watt for a song called "Let Me Go" which entered the chart at number 50.
Outside the top 50, there were new entries in top 100 from Dean Lewis with "Lose My Mind" at 73 being the best of them, "You're The Best Thing about Me" by U2 at 83, "Love So Soft" by Kelly Clarkson at 88 and "Bad at love" by Halsey at 91.

So with three new entries, what dropped out of the top 50? We lost "Waves" by Dean Lewis, "Bad Liar" by Selena Gomez and "Malibu" by Miley Cyrus. Yet again unless there's promotional single for the album coming, this is not a great sign for that album from Miley considering "Younger Now" has totally flopped.

I really don't know what to expect next week, I think there is a chance that Taylor Swift could return to number one and it's really quite unknown how Niall Horan's new single will shake the chart up again.

Speaking of Niall Horan, he will feature in the latest edition of New Friday Music Review along with Ball Park Music and maybe some Jessie J. See you then!

New Music Friday Review: Kelly Clarkson, Sam Smith, U2

Whoo boy, it's a loaded new music Friday review this week with Kelly Clarkson, U2, Sam Smith and a Sia and Zayn collaboration and I got to say the quality was pretty damn hot so let's start with the music old hands U2

Song: You're the Best Thing About Me
Artist: U2

U2 are back with the first taste of their new album entitled "Songs of Experience" and the first single is something that is oh so very U2. I love the guitars and the melody of this song the only issue is that it feels like Bono's vocals which are very strong and carry the song well feel like they are sort of swamped by the production and the lyrics are so-so but hey after their last album I'll take this!

Rating: 7/10. Just really does annoy me that Bono's vocals feel a little drowned out.

Song: Dusk til Dawn
Artist(s): Zayn, Sia

So Zayn is back with the lead off single from his second album and I think this may well be the best thing Zayn has done since he started out on the solo project, finally this feels like something that is his work and not just ripping Drake as per "Still Got Time". It's a pretty powerful ballad and he has some decent chemistry with Sia. Maybe the only issue is that Sia's voice actually seems to overpower Zayn's voice in parts of the choru, it's a pretty dramatic love ballad that yeah does somewhat work.

Rating: Best thing Zayn had done musically. I really like this. 8/10

Song: Love So Soft
Artist: Kelly Clarkson

It's the return of the first American Idol Kelly Clarkson with a very modern sounding gospel song and yeah, I do like this a lot even if I am not sold on the chorus and that weird vocal thing at the end of every line, it just sounds very out of place with the rest of the song but I'll give Kelly credit here, this song is very very good. Hopefully it's a hit.

Rating: Despite the odd vocal thing in the chorus...8.5/10

Song: Too Good at Goodbyes
Artists: Sam Smith

Oh speaking of gospel flavoured pop, Sam Smith returns with his new song and look...it's a pleasant enough listen but there's just not enough in the production to keep this song interesting. It really is kind of your stereotypical Sam Smith song but if it's going to be a huge hit, I'll take it over Taylor Swift that's for sure.

Rating: 6/10

Song: Tough Love
Artist: CXLOE

CXLOE is a Sydney singer-songwriter and seems to be another young lady that you can strike a comparison with Lorde and it'd almost stick (one of her influences is Lorde if you look at her Triple J Unearthed profile) so how does "Tough Love" pan out?

It's not all that bad quite frankly and in a year where we're struggling for an Australian artist to break the top 10 on the ARIA, I hope this song does become a hit because it quite frankly is pretty poptastic.

Rating: Light 8/10

Best of the week: Despite rating Kelly Clarkson's "Love So Soft" slightly higher, I am giving it to Zayn and Sia for "Dusk til Dawn" but both songs are great

Worst of the week: I opted not to review this because I really didn't want to have to listen to it again. Tove Lo's "Disco Tits" is everything you would expect a song with that title to sound like

New Music on Friday 15th September

"Find You" by Nick Jonas
"Heavy" by Anne-Marie
Also new stuff from Ball Park Music and Fall Out Boy

ARIA Chart top ten/Chart review: September 11. Taylor remains number one

A lot changed and a lot stayed the same this week on the ARIA chart although we did lose two songs from the top ten this week but we did lose former number 1 "Despacito (Remix) by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber and "Praying" by Kesha from the top 10.

Remaining at number one for a second week is "Look What You Made Me" by Taylor Swift. It looks like her run at number one may well come to an end in the UK though where Sam Smith's new single is posing a challenge.

Pink stays at number 2 for another week with "What About Us?". I still think that has a chance at getting back to number one actually.

New entry at number 3 and it's Taylor Swift's "...You Ready for it?". This is purely a promotional single, nothing more or less and I would expect this too fall away pretty quick because of that and also the song is trash.

The arrival of "...You Ready for it?" saw Macklemore's "Glorious" drop to number 4 and "Friends" by Justin Bieber and Bloodpop to number 5.

Dua Lipa's "New Rules" momentum has halted as it remains at number 6.

"Thunder" by Imagine Dragons dropped two places to number 7 (I hope to see that song gone sooner rather than later)

Then we get to a new arrival in the top 10 with Demi Lovato at number 8 with "Sorry Not Sorry". Kind of surprising considering the song is very much a Meghan Trainor sound but it jumped from 11 to 8 so there must be a serious push behind it.

Then we reach two songs that are on their way out anyway "Feels" by Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean dropping a spot to number 9 and "Unforgettable" by French Montana feat. Swae Lee dropping from 7 to 10

Outside of the top 10, the biggest loser this week was "Malibu" by Miley Cyrus which dropped from 34 all the way back to number 50 and considering "Younger Now" hasn't returned to the top 50, the album release is going to feel a bit bare in a few weeks time.

"Pretty Girls" by Maggie Lindemann dropped 10 places to 30 and "Fallin'" by Jessica Mauboy dropped from 22 to 29

As for the drop outs, there were only two that being "Fetish" by Selena Gomez feat. Gucci Mane and "Know No Better" by Major Lazer feat. Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo. Good, cause both songs suck.

The gainers this week, the biggest gainer was "1800-273-8255" by Logic feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid which leapt 20 places to number 17 and speaking of Khalid, his single "Young Dumb and Broke" climbed from 28 to 21. Another big mover was Vance Joy's "Lay It On Me" which climbed from 40 to 25 (Great news as that song is absolutely brilliant)

As for new entries inside the ARIA top 50 apart from Taylor Swift?: Well the only other one was "What Lovers Do?" by Maroon 5 feat. SZA at 33. Outside the top 50, the best of them is Jason DeRulo's "If I'm Lucky" at 59, "High on Me" by Guy Sebastian at 73, "Not too Late" by Ricki-Lee at 83 and "Girls on Boys" by Galantis & Rozes at 96.

While for some reason Vance Joy's "Riptide" re-entered at 96.

That wraps up this week's chart review, New Music Friday review tomorrow, it's a beauty with U2, Kelly Clarkson, Sam Smith and a collaboration between Zayn Malik and Sia.

New Music Friday Review: Taylor Swift drops another song, Maroon 5 team up with SZA

Another week and yet again we have to deal with Taylor Swift because she dropped another song in the last week while Jason DeRulo returns and a former Australian Idol alum makes her comeback.

But yes, although I sick of talking about her, I will start with Miss Taylor Swift.

Song: ...Ready for It
Artist: Taylor Swift

Oh I miss the days of the Taylor Swift sticky hook and melody that could be found on 1989 and I keep reverting to songs like "Style" because at least they showed 'old' Taylor Swift at her very best but this 'new' edgy Taylor Swift seems to have lost any kind of taste for any kind of melody and make generic rap/pop songs that wouldn't go astray on Young Thug's most recent album.

The song just has some weird sounds in it like the kind of static I hear on a portable radio when it's on the AM band and too close to the laptop computer but yeah this new angry Taylor era is not off too a good start,

This is not good and after the horror that was "Look What You Made Me Do", I really do not care about that "Reputation" album drop on November 10. Sorry not sorry, Taylor.

Rating: It's better than "Look What You Made Me Do" but not by much. 3/10

Song: If I'm Lucky
Artist: Jason Derulo

The return of Jason DeRulo. There was some talk about him opting for a more country sound but from the sound of this song he has opted for the currently very popular latin/reggaeton vibe and I am not going to deny that it works here. Derulo offers up plenty of personality on this track even with the rather sparse production but Derulo's voice carries the song well. I like this!

Rating: 7/10

Song: What Lovers Do
Artist(s): Maroon 5, SZA

This song will probably end up being a smash hit but for a band that is increasingly letting it's music become alarmingly sterile and predictable, Maroon 5 have repeated their mistakes with this song. This isn't anything I haven't heard before and done better. Also is anyone else reminded of Calvin Harris and Rihanna's "This is What You Came For?"

Rating: 4/10

Song: Not Too Late
Artist: Ricki Lee

She's baaack! Yes, Australian Idol alumni Ricki Lee returns with a brand new single and it doesn't let anyone down in terms of Ricki Lee. We all know she can really belt out a song vocally and with so much power the song does get to you, reminds me in a way of Jessica Mauboy's song "Fallin'" but in a good way because like Mauboy's song, this one is excellent.

Rating: 8/10

Song: High on Me
Artist: Guy Sebastian

Guy Sebastian returns with a new single and it sounds like he has been inspired by Eurovision or Australian 90s boyband CDB with this song. It's a quite the fun little track as the lead single from his forthcoming tenth album entitled "Conscious". It's got a bit of spunk and fun. Really for anyone looking for a modern old school sounding disco sound this would be the track to go for.

Rating: 7/10

Best: Ricki Lee for "Not Too Late"
Worst: Can't keep giving that to Taylor Swift so Maroon 5 and SZA get it for "What lovers Do"

New Music Friday 8th September

It's a loaded one with new tracks from Zayn/Sia, Kelly Clarkson, U2 and Sam Smith!

ARIA top ten/Chart Review: September 4. Look What You Made Number 1

This week was a week that I wasn't looking forward to, largely because I was expecting songs that had clearly peaked to come down and we were set for a new number 1 that I do not in any shape or form like but personal views aside.

Before we look the top 10, "Strip That down' by Liam Payne feat. Quavo exited the top 10 slipping 4 places to number 12.

Now to the top 10 and yes, despite it's extremely questionable quality,"Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift did debut in the top spot. How long it remains at number 1 is anyone's guess but it's numbers on Spotify streaming wise are excellent and it doesn't look like losing number one on sales at the moment.

Last week's number 1, "What About Us?" by Pink slipped to number 2 which is not surprising considering the Swift juggernaut that arrived on the chart, it was never really shot of hanging on to number 1.

At number 3 is Macklemore feat. Skylar Gray with "Glorious". Macklemore has been confirmed as the National Rugby League's Grand Final pre match entertainment headline act.

I said last week that "Friends" by Justin Bieber and Bloodpop wouldn't get to number one and based on the fact it fell two places to number 4.

"Thunder" by Imagine Dragons sits at number 5 dropping 1 place from last week. Looks as though it could be on the way out.

The song that could loom as a threat to Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" is "New Rules" by Dua Lipa at number 6. This song has not stopped climbing the charts in the last few weeks with another 4 place climb this week, it's got real momentum behind it, it could be top 5 next week especially with "Thunder" fading.

"Unforgettable" by French Montana feat. Swae-Lee remains at number 7

The couple of songs are on their way out of the top 10 with "Feels" by Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean dropping 2 to number 8 and former chart topper "Despacito (Remix)" dropping 4 places to number 9.

"Praying" by Kesha slips from 9 to 10 to wrap up this week's ARIA Top 10

Outside of the top ten, the biggest gainer was Khalid's "Young, Dumb and Broke" which jumped from 44 last week to 28 this week. "Sorry not Sorry" by Demi Lovato climb three places to sit at the edge of the top 10 at number 11, Lauv's "I Like Me Better" climbed 5 places from 29 to 24

As for the biggest loser that dishonour went to former top 5 song "Something Just Like This" by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay which slipped from 33 to 48. It also was a bad week for Selena Gomez with "Bad Liar falling from 40 to 47 and "Fetish" (feat. Gucci Mane) falling 8 places to 49. "There for You" by Martin Garrix and Troye Sivan also dropped 8 places to 38.

One re entry this week and it's not that big a surprise with "1-800-273-8255" by Logic feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid re-entering at number 37.

As for the new entries outside of the new number one? Marshmello feat. Khalid entered the chart number 30 with "Silence", Camila Cabello might finally see some chart success with her latest single "Havana" feat. Young Thug entering at number 36, Portugal. the Man's "Feel It Still" finally debuted at number 43. Outside of the top 50: "Chateau" by Angus and Julia Stone at 90, "You Already Know" by Fergie feat. Nicki Minaj at 95 and "Rich Love" by One Republic feat. Seeb at 97 and the last of the new entries is "Walk on water' by Thirty Seconds to Mars at 99.

So with all the movement there were 5 songs that left the chart including two songs whose exits are really extremely premature. The three exits that aren't so surprising are the VMAs song of the summer "XO Tour Lif3" by Lil Uzi (how that got voted as song of the summer is one of the great mysteries), "Stay" by Zedd and Alessia Cara and"Now or Never" by Halsey. All of which had well and truly have outdone their time on the chart.

However the premature exits for "Get Low" by Zedd and Liam Payne after 5 weeks and "Younger Now" by Miley Cyrus after 1 week are something of a surprise and probably a concern for Miley given she's due to drop that album soon.

That rounds up ARIA Chart Review. See you for New Music Friday where there's new Jason DeRulo and Guy Sebastian to talk about. Joy...lol.
