ARIA Top Ten Singles/Chart Review: 29th June. "Savage Love" makes savage gains to "Go Crazy" in the top ten.

This blog entry is going to be short because yeah this week was actually surprisingly easy to go through, we got two songs into the top ten for the first time and two new entries in the lower reaches of the chart but really it's not a wild week at all so first to our top ten where for yet another week, it's "Rockstai" by DaBaby feat. Roddy Ricch at number one, its still got a lock on streaming but those sales numbers are starting to look shaky which means if streaming starts to fade than it may make it's hold on number one tenuous.

It's not facing a challenge from "Roses" by Saint JHN which held on to the number two spot thanks mostly to steady but slowing streaming however it was overtaken on streaming late in the week which brings us to our biggest gainer of the week at number three that being "Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)" by Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo which climbed all the way from 24 to number three and really does look like the next number one in waiting as its streaming is getting better every day, it's got momentum on it's side.

All this meant "Breaking Me" by Topic feat. A7S remained at number four this week mostly because it's streaming and sales remained pretty static this week.

The big gains made by "Savage Love" did impact "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd which finally fell two places to number five this week as it started to bleed on both sales and streaming.

Harry Styles remained steady at number six this week with "Watermelon Sugar" while "Rain On Me" by Ariana Grande fell two places to number seven thanks to slowing streaming and sales.

"Rover" by S1mba feat. DTG dropped one place to number eight this week, I am sure how much legs this song has given streaming appears to have stalled for this song.

Wish I could say the same for the career revival of Chris Brown who thanks to streaming saw his song "Go Crazy" feat. Young Thug rise five places to number nine. Trading out "Savage" by Megan Thee Stallion for this song was not a good idea Australia.

Finally "Supalonely" by BENEE feat Gus Dapperton dropped two places to number ten this week as it is starting to fade naturally.

Gains

Already talked about the mammoth gains for "Savage Love" but there was also a good gain for "Secrets" by DJ Regard feat. Raye up from 48 to 33 which is fine because it's a pretty good song. "Ur So effing Cool" by Tones and I got a five place gain to 44 but I don't see that song being a hit.

Losers

The biggest loser this week was Tones and I with "Bad Child" throwing a tantrum down nine to 48 this week.
Doja Cat's "Boss Bitch" went on strike to drop from 42 to 49 this week whole "Say So" dropped four places to 20.

Drop Outs

Really not surprising that the two drop outs are "Know Your Worth" by Khalid and Disclosure and "Trollz" by 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj. The fact that Nicki has been out trying to destroy her legacy with moves like working with 6ix9ine is really infuriating and probably says how little I respect her as an artist now.

New Entries

So there are two new entries this week with "I'm Good?" by Hilltop Hoods finally hitting the top 50 at number 46. About time.

The other new entry comes from Nea and her song "Some Say (Felix Jaehn Remix)" which samples Eiffel 65's 1999 smash hit "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" in at number 50.

That wraps this week, expecting new entries from Blackpink and Guy Sebastian, what else happens we'll find out on Saturday when ARIA updates the chart at 5pm. AEST.
