ARIA Top Ten/Chart Review: July 30: Conrad Sewell goes top ten as Drake hangs on for another week at number 1

So this week brings some mixed feelings, the bad being an awful song remaining at number one but the good being some moves in the right direction for an Aussie artist.

So let's get to the top ten with "In My Feelings" by Drake remaining at number one for another week and really with the release of the video, I don't see this changing at all. It's still dominating streaming.

What was the surprise is that "Youngblood" by 5 Seconds of Summer managed to hang on to number 2 for another week despite pretty much bleeding across everything.

The real challenger to Drake comes in up one place number 3 with "Be Alright" by Dean Lewis, its still gaining across radio, streaming and pretty much going toe to toe with "In My Feelings" on sales.

A song that is showing signs of falling away is "Girls Like You" by Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B (Cardi's biggest hit in Australia), I expect this song to fall from the top ten soon.

Also a song that may just not have the grip it thinks on the top 10 is "God is A Woman" by Ariana Grande with streaming keep it stable at number 5.

"Better Now"  by Post Malone remains at number 6 for another week.

In superb news (to me) is the fact "Healing Hands" by Conrad Sewell jumped 7 places into the top 10 at number 7. It's actually become my favourite Australian hit of the year.

Anne-Marie's "2002' went up to number eight, "Lucid Dreams" by Juice WRLD went up 2 gto number 9 and "Nevermind" by Dennis Lloyd returned to the top 10 up 3 to number 10. All three of those songs benefiting from the big fall for "I Said Hi" by Amy Shark but we'll get to that in a moment

Gains

Benny Blanco might be getting his first top ten hit with "Eastside" feat. Khalid and Halsey up to 12 from 32 making it the biggest mover of the week.

"Rise" by Jonas Blue feat. Jack and Jack rose from 25 to 16 (that song is huge in Europe right now).

"Born to Be Yours" by Kygo feat. Imagine Dragons went up to 24 from 29.

Apart from those and the big move for Conrad Sewell, that was it for large gains this week.

Re-Entries

There was one re-entry this week that kind of surprised me, it was "In My Blood" by Shawn Mendes. I am happy it's back though!

Losers

Drake pretty much lost on all fronts this week outside of holding onto number one with "Don't Matter to Me" down to 18 from 7 in the biggest fall of the week, "Nice for What" slipped down ten places to 27 and "Nonstop" continued to nonstop fall slipping ten places to 33.

Outside of that, there was bad news for female pop starlets "I Said Hi" by Amy Shark fell out of the top ten to 15 and "Back To You" by Selena Gomez fell from 19 to 23

Drop Outs

The bad news for Drake continued with "I'm Upset" one of three songs to drop out. The other two being "Clark Griswold" by Hilltop Hoods and Adrian Eagle and "All Mine" by Kanye West

New Entries

Two new entries this week with the best of them being "Never Ever" by The Rubens feat. Sarah at 32 and the pretty ordinary "I'm A Mess" by Bebe Rexha at 48

So this week felt kind of quiet but it will be interesting to see what disruption DJ Khaled and co bring to the chart, suspect "No Brainer" will debut in the top ten. Chart for week beginning 6th July drops at 5pm on Saturday.
